Eyelids Surgery

Eyelid Surgery is a method to remove fat and excess skin from the eye bags.

Eyelid Operation is excellent to do for both upper and lower eyelids at the same time, the operation takes about 1 hour. Most make their eyelid surgery under local anesthetic, some under anesthesia. There you discuss with your plastic surgeon.
The cut is in the upper eyelid to fold and just below the eyelash edge at the lower lid. Excess skin is removed, tighten up the muscles and remove the excess fat. You remain for around one hour in the clinic to reduce swelling and bleeding. At home, you must use a cold towel and compress on your eyes for a week. Taking a shower is ok after 2 days, but be sure not to use hot water or rub your eyes. Avoid the steam and sauna one month after the operation.

You will be blue below and over the eyelids for a while after eyelid surgery, bruises disappear after 2-3 weeks, it is fine to cover with a little makeup after 1 week from the surgery.

You must hold your head high in the first few days, feel free to use an extra pillow when you are resting or sleeping.

You should do heavy work or training for the first 3 weeks.

Usually, it is possible to start work after 5-7 days. You will be sensitive to touch at the scars 1-2 month after surgery. Healing takes time and with time scars will fade, also the final result will seen after 6 month.

Avoid alcohol and tobacco after eyelid surgery. Remember to protect the scars with a hat from the sun.
